I'm Isaac Roy, a generalist game designer who is especially passionate about systems and level design. I've loved video games my whole life. For the past couple of years, I have been studying game design at Champlain College and pursuing my dream to be apart of the game industry.
Growing up in Boston, I began playing video games since I was little, as many passionate gamers do. But, for me, I had always been interested in the creation of games itself.
I found the different ways in which games would hand craft systems and worlds all in tandem fascinating. I would show off the games I played to my parents and friends, constantly explaining how certain mechanics work or what the story is behind the game.
Attending PAX East was something I started doing as early as 2016, going there with my friends and family to see the game industry and all the new stuff being made was very exciting for me. I knew deep down I wanted to make games, but it seemed so daunting at the time.
Fast forward to 2022, I was lucky enough to begin my journey by attending Champlain College as a Game Design Major! Having graduated now, not only did I learn a tremendous amount about making games. But, more importantly, I was able to meet and work with so many amazing people during those four years.
I look forward to continuing my journey in game development wherever possible, honing my skills all the while.
